1/1/07 Raw
John Cena vs. Kevin Federline: Not much of a match obviously and Cena loses due to a belt shot? That’s just weak.
Cryme Tyme/Highlanders vs. WGTT/Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch: Not much of a match and felt like complete filler.
Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Conway: Hardy wins in under a minute and Vince comes out to fire Conway. Pointless match and when a guy isn’t on TV much like Conway was, it isn’t necessary to need a storyline reason to write him off.
DX segment: This was actually a really good promo although it had its fair share of subtle shots, mainly at the Voodoo Kin Mafia in TNA at the time who kept calling out DX by their real names, which was pretty lame.
Melina vs. Maria: Very sloppy match that was made because Melina slapped Maria after the opener. Victoria tried to attack Lillian after the match until Mickie made the save.
Ric Flair/Carlito vs. Chris Masters/Kenny Dykstra: This was the best match of the show by far, and it wasn’t anything special either, just decent.
John Cena vs. Johnny Nitro/Coach/Umaga/Estrada: Very bad main event as Cena overcomes four guys yet couldn’t kick out of a belt shot.
This was not a good show as all the matches were bad except for one, the Cena/K-Fed match really failed to deliver, and a lot of filler like Hardy/Conway, the 8 man tag, and the women’s match. The PPV build was good but that’s about it.

Opening segment: Coach introduces the Great Khali as Raw’s newest acquisition and he faces Cena in the main event tonight. Not a good start to the show.
Jeff Hardy vs. Kenny Dykstra: Really good match with Hardy retaining his IC title… too bad this was as good as the show got.
Melina/Victoria vs. Mickie James/Maria: This match was pretty sloppy.
“Donald Trump” vs. “Rosie O’Donnell”: One of the worst segments in Raw history… very dumb, reeked of something from WCW 2000, and got “TNA” chants from the live crowd. A terrible way to start a big storyline.
Carlito vs. Chris Masters: Very boring match.
Rated RKO promo: Edge was good in this while Orton stumbled through his lines a lot. This did make HBK vs. Rated RKO next week.
Cryme Tyme vs. Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch: Another boring filler match.
John Cena vs. Great Khali: As bad as you’d expect and Estrada interferes for the DQ when Khali was in control. That made no sense whatsoever.
Terrible show with Hardy/Kenny being the only good match and the Rated RKO segment being just decent.

Opening segment:Your typical contract signing, and it opened the show too.
Jeff Hardy/Maria vs. Johnny Nitro/Melina: Good match.
Rated RKO promo: Not very good as Orton did most of the talking instead of Edge.
Kenny Dykstra vs. Ric Flair: Your typical Kenny/Flair match as these two just don't gel in the ring.
Vince promo: Very bad with him bringing out "miss USA" Torrie Wilson and was about to get "naughty" with her until Carlito came out to bury Trump vs. Rosie until Khali came out to destroy him.
Mickie James vs. Victoria: Good women's title match with Mickie retaining.
Masterlock Challenge: Boring...
JTG vs. Shelton Benjamin: Decent match, albeit filler.
Shawn Michaels vs. Rated RKO: Very good main event.
Very hit/miss show, with more miss as this show was all about the promos, and they all fell flat, and contract signings should end shows, especially when the WWE title's involved.

Johnny Nitro vs. Super Crazy: Nothing match as Nitro attacked Crazy and then left. They tried to give Nitro a vicious side and it didn't work at all.
Melina vs. Maria: Bad match.
Vince/Trump segment: Trump announces Lashley as his representative and he brawls with Umaga. Boring segment outside of that.
Masterlock Challenge: Boring...
Carlito vs. Kenny Dykstra: Pretty good...

John Cena vs. Johnny Nitro: Supposed to be Cena vs. Edge but he made an excuse for Nitro to fight instead... complete nothing match.
Parts of this were very good while parts were very bad. Average, a little below at worst.

Melina vs. Torrie Wilson: Bad match.
Contract signing: Man, this was long and dragging and ended with a shove.
Dull, dull show, especially in the last hour.

JBL vs. Shawn Michaels: A bait and switch though this was a good promo. Still, it was a bait and switch.
Masterlock Challenge: Boring as usual but at least it FINALLY ended (or so I thought).
MITB last chance qualifier battle royal: Pretty good and Edge wins...
Umaga vs. Eugene: Just a squash but the aftermath with Eugene getting shaved bald was funny.
Melina vs. Candice Michelle: Bad match.
Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton: This was pretty good...
John Cena vs. Chris Benoit: Very good match but the ending was disappointing as Cena didn't need the rub by making Benoit tap...
This show was pretty bad... the bait and switch on HBK/JBL was inexcusable.

The first hour was very good, but the second hour was very bad too.

Opening segment: Very boring promo exchange between Lashley and Shane McMahon and Lashley vs. Shane is the main event...
Mickie James/Candice Michelle vs. Victoria/Melina: This wasn't a bad match actually...
Carlito/Ric Flair vs. Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch: BORING match.
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton: Good until the confusing double pin finish.
Hardy Boyz vs. WGTT: Good match despite the obvious outcome.
Edge/Cena/Orton/HBK segment: The only noteworthy part of this was the Make a Wish kid. No offense to him but much of the material in this segment was either boring or corny.
Shane McMahon vs. Bobby Lashley: If Shane loses he gets his head shaved (if he wins he wins the ECW title)... well, he loses in two minutes by DQ and no shaving.
This show was very mediocre... the wrestling was okay but the booking was either dumb or uninspiring.

Opening segment: This was very boring and lasted for a half an hour… Vince called out a fan to answer a challenge to face Umaga for the IC title, he wins the title due to help from Lashley, and an in-ring promo after the match introduced him as Santino Marella. Putting a title on somebody in their first match has never been good long term booking, ever.
Carlito/Ric Flair vs. WGTT: This match was pretty good though not nearly enough to redeem the first 30 minutes.
Johnny Nitro vs. Eugene: A very pointless squash match as Nitro wasn’t being pushed nor did it lead to a push.
Diva Fashion Show: VERY boring and about as boring as the opening segment. Luckily it was much shorter though that isn't saying much as it lasted 10 minutes…
Lance Cade vs. Jeff Hardy: This match was very dull and boring.
Chris Masters vs. Super Crazy: The match was decently worked (although mainly due to Super Crazy) but what was the point? Same thing as Nitro/Eugene…
John Cena vs. Rated RKO: Decent main event although not as good as it should have been.
Very boring show with long, boring segments and pointless filler matches.

Tale of two hours as hour one was as boring as it looks, while hour two was an amazing match. This show did little to promote the PPV but, it's hard to top an hour long match either.

RVD promo: Not that good, though it announced Umaga/RVD for later.

Ric Flair/Carlito vs. World's Greatest Tag Team: Solid match.
Kennedy promo: Very good promo where he puts over how he'll cash in MITB at next year's WM.
Melina/Victoria vs. Mickie James/Candice Michelle: Not a great match.
Final segment: Good Cena promo actually until Khali's revealed as HBK's attacker and becomes #1 contender. Ugh.
Best all-around Raw in a while, even with Khali being the #1 contender.

Great Khali vs. Shawn Michaels: One of Khali's best matches by far...
Hardy Boyz vs. WGTT: This was a pretty good match as you’d expect and Cade/Murdoch continue to hint towards a face turn...
Carlito promo: Half of it was in Spanish so I couldn't understand it… if I can’t understand what they’re saying, it doesn’t work for me.
Edge vs. Mr. Kennedy (MITB match): Why this was booked I have no idea... Kennedy got injured but the storyline was that he'd cash it in at WM next year, why drop it when the injury wouldn't keep him out anywhere near that long?
John Cena vs. Randy Orton: When they lock up Khali takes the WWE title and nails Cena at the top of the ramp to end it. What a waste.
A very dull and boring episode of Raw… the pacing was erratic throughout, the wrestling was below average, and the booking was substandard.

Opening segment: Not terrible but not real good either. If I was interested in the angle it would have gotten a better grade.
Carlito vs. Ric Flair: Very bad match actually.
Candice Michelle vs. Melina: Decent, nothing special.

Hardy Boyz vs. Johnny Nitro/Kenny Dykstra: Solid match.
Khali/Cena segment: Very boring as it promotes a REMATCH.
Bobby Lashley vs. Viscera: Bad match.
Timbaland video: Boring...
Orton segment: Pretty good as he explained his actions at the PPV.
Bobby Lashley vs. Umaga: Not a great match.
Bobby Lashley vs. Shane McMahon: This was actually good, as his style meshed the best with Lashley.
A good show... when it came to putting Lashley over. As for an entertaining show and focusing on its own brand? Not at all. Lashley got four matches and the opening promo, while the WWE champ got ONE segment.

Opening segment: God, that was bad! All the guys in the Vengeance main event talked about Vince’s “death” more than their title match. I know the Vince angle was supposed to be a big deal but it shouldn’t overshadow a title match!
Paul London/Brian Kendrick vs. World's Greatest Tag Team: Pretty good match...
Carlito/Sandman segment: I didn't care for this segment as Sandman is terrible when there's no weapons involved.
Jeff Hardy vs. Daivari: This was a pretty sloppy match...
Umaga vs. Mick Foley: This didn't even get underway and was a brawl. Letdown...
Kennedy promo: This was boring and he didn't even mention the MITB at all. Shouldn't he be mad about it seeing as how he was screwed out of it?
Melina/Jillian Hall vs. Mickie James/Candice Michelle: Better than most diva tags and Melina got a much needed pinfall win after weeks of jobbing to Candice.
Randy Orton/King Booker vs. John Cena/Bobby Lashley: This was a boring main event match.
Ending segment: This was pretty bad... Stephanie’s acting was terrible and this should have switched places with the opening segment or come on before it, which would have been the preferable option.
This show was very weak as there wasn’t enough Vengeance promotion as Vince’s death got a bigger focus and it was a pretty wrestling-lean show as well.

Bobby Lashley vs. King Booker: Very “meh” until Kennedy runs in and Coach makes Booker/Kennedy vs. Lashley/partner of his choice as the main event.
Umaga vs. Santino Marella: Umaga squashes Santino to retain the IC title… VERY predictable.
Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch vs. Highlanders: A very boring filler match.
Snitsky vs. Super Crazy: Boring squash match.
Orton/Dusty segment: This was a very good segment to hype Orton and Dusty’s Texas bullrope match at GAB.
Paul London vs. Shelton Benjamin: Solid match despite a silly stipulation where Shelton and Charlie had to kiss each other if Paul won.
Candice Michelle/Mickie James vs. Jillian Hall/Beth Phoenix: Very short match that wasn’t good and the Candice/Melina feud continues.
Sandman vs. William Regal: Very boring match as their styles didn’t mesh at all.
Bobby Lashley/Jeff Hardy vs. King Booker/Mr. Kennedy: This match was pretty decent but not as good as it should have been.
A very boring show with unimaginative booking and a lot of filler matches, especially in the first hour. I think they phoned it in because Cena was on Larry King Live instead of at the arena for the show.

Booker/Lawler segment: Meh… this was nothing more than a placeholder feud for Booker until HHH returned at Summerslam, the winner of the feud was obvious, their styles didn’t mesh, and this kept the actual Booker/HHH match from being built. The segment itself was pretty boring.
Jeff Hardy vs. William Regal vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Santino Marella: I couldn’t get into this match as Jeff was obviously winning and it was below what all these guys are capable of outside of Santino.
Snitsky vs. Val Venis: Boring squash match.
Randy Orton vs. Cody Rhodes: A very long and boring squash that just wouldn’t end.
Melina vs. Mickie James: This match was pretty decent.
Carlito vs. Sandman: Another boring match that advanced a pretty pointless feud.
Mr. Kennedy vs. Super Crazy: Okay match although I feel that they really dropped the ball with Crazy here after his surprise win against Kennedy two weeks before… he was very charismatic and could work a good match yet never advanced from jobber status.
Cena/Lashley debate: Terrible segment as Cena was his usual self and Lashley is very bad on the mic in general. Also, a debate didn’t fit the storyline as politics weren’t a part of this.
A VERY boring Raw as Melina/Mickie was the only good match yet it got around three minutes and the storyline progression was VERY boring.

Carlito’s Cabana: This was typical corny Cena here with lame jokes and worked shoot comments on Carlito and Kennedy. Not a good start to Raw.
Jillian Hall/Melina/Beth Phoenix vs. Mickie James/Maria/Candice Michelle: This wasn't very good and actually quite sloppy...
Cody Rhodes vs. Daivari: This match was pretty good and showed that Cody’s a good worker in the ring.
Mr. Kennedy vs. Bobby Lashley: This was much better than I thought it would be as it was quite good and Kennedy winning was a big surprise.
King Booker vs. Jerry Lawler: Bad match with a DQ finish, meaning that the feud will continue. The feud should have ended here and the build to Booker/HHH should have started the next week.
Cryme Tyme vs. John Mason/Brandon Gatson: Squash match and they sell one of the jobbers' boots in a segment that lasts forever.
Randy Orton vs. Sgt. Slaughter: Another nothing match pretty much. Did nothing to build Orton’s match with Cena for the WWE title at Summerslam either.
Carlito vs. John Cena: Very dull match with Carlito getting the surprise win, which was good although they NEVER followed up on it at all.
Very boring show with the first hour being average and the second hour a complete wash.

Booker/Lawler segment: Pretty good with a fake HHH being used to build HHH/Booker for Summerslam.
Carlito's Cabana: Good segment that made the next match.
Carlito vs. Mr. Kennedy: Solid match.
John Cena vs. Snitsky: Bad main event.
Solid show that promoted Summerslam very well.

Cody Rhodes/Paul London/Brian Kendrick vs. Daivari/World's Greatest Tag Team: Solid match and Cryme Tyme steal Daivari's burka and Cade's hat and sell them to the crowd.
Maria vs. Beth Phoenix: Squash.
John Cena vs. King Booker: Solid main event and Orton punts Cena's dad afterwards.
Good show.

HHH vs. Carlito/Umaga: This was all angle.
Final segment: Not bad as it finally leads to the end of the illegitimate son angle.

Final segment: Very bad as Hornswoggle is revealed as Vince's illegitimate son. Yes, Hornswoggle.
Bad show, as the payoff to the summer's big storyline is Hornswoggle, a midget. Nothing against him, but his size won't allow him room for any elevation. The summer storyline's payoff is giving someone who has no chance of main eventing a "rub". Terrible.

Opening segment: The typical Cena promo full of lame jokes and Orton vs. Cena’s dad is the main event. Meh…
Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin: This was a pretty good match and the best of the show.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Daivari: This was a pointless flag match as neither guy had anything going on nor did anything come out of it. Match was a wash too.
Vince/Hornswoggle segment: This segment is where Hornswoggle officially jumped the shark. Hornswoggle bit the ass of the male imposter parent and went under the skirt of the female imposter. Not to mention that the whole angle was dumb too.
HHH vs. Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch: HHH beats the tag champs cleanly and attacks London and Kendrick for no reason after the match. Way to make that tag division important!
Mickie James/Candice Michelle vs. Melina/Jillian Hall: This was actually a decent women’s tag match.
John Cena vs. Santino Marella: Not much of a match and since Cena won by DQ instead of pinfall/submission, Orton vs. Cena’s dad is still on.
Randy Orton vs. Cena’s Dad: Not much of a main event obviously and Cena’s dad gets RKO’ed and Cena checks on him while getting a “you can’t wrestle” chant which was the most notable part of this.
Very boring show here… the wrestling quality was below average and the booking and writing were both bad.

Opening segment: Very boring as Hornswoggle hooked up with Melina and Cena attacked Coach through a sea of security after Coach said that he may have to surrender his title.
Hardcore Holly vs. Cody Rhodes: Very solid match in which was probably the best storyline on the show with Cody trying to win Holly’s respect, and it was an undercard TV feud!
Ron Simmons vs. Santino Marella: This was not a good match and involved a screwy finish which meant that the feud continues. The promos in the feud were good but the matches were anything but.
HHH vs. Carlito/Vince McMahon: Very boring cage match in that while the heels won, Carlito was still made to look really bad once again.
Paul London/Brian Kendrick vs. Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch: Decent match that was hurt by the Highlanders’ heel turn. They said that they wanted a title shot yet attacked the challengers instead of the actual champs. And they didn’t make good heels either.
Beth Phoenix/Shelton Benjamin vs. Candice Michelle/Jeff Hardy: This was a pretty good mixed tag match.
John Cena vs. Jonathan Coachman: A very dumb table match main event made by Mr. McMahon… Hornswoggle McMahon. Very clever… ugh!
Another dumb and boring Raw although this was a slight step up from last week… not much though.

Santino at the movies: A classic segment.
Mickie James vs. Melina: The aftermath with Hornswoggle was all this one was about.
John Cena vs. Mr. Kennedy: Decent main event and the end of Cena's title reign of doom, but because of an injury unfortunately.
Very ho-hum episode.

Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy: A pretty good match here in the fisrt of Orton’s three matches that night.
Santino Marella vs. Val Venis: This match was surprisingly quite decent and competitive. Santino obviously won because he gets more airtime than Val.
Randy Orton vs. Mr. Kennedy: Very boring match that was mainly punch/kick the whole way through.
Umaga Cyber Sunday Demonstrations segment: This just dragged as Umaga destroyed a local named Andy Simmons in a streetfight, first blood match, and a steel cage match. I’m sure most of the people watching knew how each match goes.
Candice Michelle vs. Jillian Hall: Candice squashes Jillian in around 15 seconds… blah.
Rory McAllister vs. Brian Kendrick: Meh… Rory is not a good singles wrestler and controlled the match seeing as how he was the heel.
Hornswoggle/Coach segment: Coach kept chasing Hornswoggle backstage until they came to the ringside area where Hornswoggle went under the ring and Coach tried to blow him up under the ring, which failed. Coach went under the ring and Hornswoggle went to blow up Coach and it worked. This was VERY stupid as it brought stuff from cartoons into a non-cartoon, and Coach came out from under the ring with what was obviously a messy makeup job on him. Just another reason for non-fans to look down on wrestling in general.
Hardcore Holly vs. Cody Rhodes: The same match they’ve always had together, which isn’t a bad thing by the way as it was a much needed good match.
Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels: This match was pretty good although it isn’t smart to give away the PPV match for free.
Very bad show as the whole middle portion was atrocious and the Hornswoggle/Coach thing was one of the stupidest segments on Raw ever, which is really saying something.

Opening segment: Really good.
Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch/Melina vs. Paul London/Brian Kendrick/Mickie James: Decent match.
Cody Rhodes vs. Shelton Benjamin: Decent match.
DH Smith vs. Carlito: Decent match.
Umaga vs. Hornswoggle: No match but the storyline was stupid as is so...
Santino segment: Really good.
Beth Phoenix vs. Candice Michelle: Even though Candice's injury was the most notable part of this it wasn't a bad 2 out of 3 falls match.
Jeff Hardy/Shawn Michaels vs. Mr. Kennedy/Randy Orton: Good match.
Very good show.

Halloween battle royal: Very boring and pointless…
Michaels/Vince segment: I wasn't really feeling this as Vince on TV was getting stale as hell and the Orton/HBK feud wasn’t interesting at all. The main event that came out of this didn’t interest me either.
Hardcore Holly/Cody Rhodes vs. WGTT: Wasn't bad at all...
Hornswoggle vs. Jonathan Coachman: Very boring and stupid match...
Paul London vs. Lance Cade: Decent at best... not bad though.
Jeff Hardy/DH Smith vs. Carlito/Mr. Kennedy: Pretty good match and best of the night...
Santino segment: Really good... the typical stuff from him and he calls out Steve Austin again as well as rip on his film The Condemned.
Diva Search: Boring…
HHH vs. Umaga/Randy Orton: Nothing match like I expected.
Pretty mediocre show... nothing really happened at all and I was expecting Jericho’s return all night, which obviously didn’t happen.

DX promo: This was very hit/miss... there was good comedy but it also broke kayfabe quite a bit and did nothing to set the tone for the show. Average seems about right...
Beth Phoenix vs. Kelly Kelly: Squash...
Snitsky vs. "Joey": Another squash, only this one was illogically booked. Carlito said Joey wasn't worth his time and gave him Snitsky instead.
Jeff Hardy/Rey Mysterio vs. Mr. Kennedy/Finlay: Pretty good match.
Santino/Austin segment: This was a classic...
Cody Rhodes vs. Trevor Murdoch: Decent match but nothing spectacular.
Hacksaw Jim Duggan/Super Crazy vs. World's Greatest Tag Team: Yet another bizarre match... the wrong team won though.
DX vs. Randy Orton/Umaga: Very good main event...
Despite the AWESOME Santino segment and two great matches this was below average. Two boring squash matches and a terrible Duggan/Haas vs. WGTT match really dragged this one down.

Opening segment: A good Undertaker/Batista promo exchange to hype the Smackdown main event...
Undertaker/Batista vs. Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch: Taker and Batista squash the Raw tag champs... terrible booking that makes the tag belts look like even bigger jokes. Were Deuce and Domino unavailable?
Beth Phoenix vs. Maria: Squash. And the aftermath gives us Lawler vs. Santino later.
Rey Mysterio/Matt Hardy/Jeff Hardy vs. MVP/Finlay/Mr. Kennedy: Very good match...
Michaels/Orton faceoff: Pretty boring segment...
Melina/Jillian Hall/Layla vs. Mickie James/Michelle McCool/Kelly Kelly: Very sloppy women’s tag match...
Jerry Lawler vs. Santino Marella: Another boring match...
Hornswoggle training session: Very stupid... pinning Coach dressed as Khali is hardly good training for the real thing.
HHH vs. Umaga: Was a pretty good lumberjack match...
This show just dragged... the matches were very bad for the most part and the mic work wasn’t much better.

Opening segment: Pretty good...
Santino Marella vs. Jerry Lawler: Bad match.
Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga: Good until Snitsky of all people interfered.
Cody Rhodes vs. Hardcore Holly: Decent match but man, I hated the aftermath! Cody FINALLY defeated Holly but it means nothing when Orton RKOs him and Holly afterwards.
Mickie James/Maria vs. Jillian Hall/Melina: Very sloppy match.
Carlito vs. Hornswoggle: This was stupid.
Jericho return: Even if the reaction was a bit disappointing I still loved it.
Outside of Jericho's return this was very weak.

Flair/Vince/Orton segment: Very good.

Chris Jericho vs. Santino Marella: Pretty decent match.
Mr. Kennedy vs. Brian Kendrick: Squash.
Mickie James vs. Melina: This couldn't have lasted longer than a couple minutes.
Ric Flair vs. Randy Orton: Really good match.
Decent show.

Kennedy segment: He calls out midget variations of people from HBK's past... it really fell flat.
Umaga vs. Chris Jericho: Solid match.
Hornswoggle vs. Carlito/Jonathan Coachman: Really stupid until the APA one night reunion.
Jeff Hardy vs. Snitsky: Bad match.
Shawn Michaels vs. Randy Orton: Pretty good.
This show was very paint by the numbers and boring.

Opening segment: A promo exchange that revealed that HHH is part of the McMahon family and had the same typical babyface HHH jokes.
Jeff Hardy vs. Carlito: Solid match.
Rob Van Dam vs. Santino Marella: Squash.
Evolution promo: Very good segment that made the next match.
Evolution vs. Umaga/Rated RKO: Solid match.
Hornswoggle vs. Great Khali: No match as Hogan beat down Khali and then cut a promo.
Battle Royal: Pretty decent with many old gimmicks in it.
Jericho/Bischoff promo: Very good.
Cody Rhodes/Hardcore Holly vs. Lance Cade/Trevor Murdoch: Okay match.
Trish/Lita/Jillian segment: Good segment with Jillian singing badly and Trish and Lita beating her up afterwards.
Mr. Kennedy vs. Marty Jannetty: Decent match.
Final segment: Great segment with Vince awarding himself as the greatest Raw superstar ever, until Mankind, Undertaker, and Austin take turns hitting finishers on him.
Very good show.
