Chris Candido vs. DDP: Squash.

Jeff Hammond (NASCAR driver!) vs. David Young: Stupid match and Hammond actually wins.

Chris Sabin vs. Elix Skipper vs. Shark Boy: Good match.

Jarrett/Nash interview: Decent enough though it was hard to get into the match due to how long Jarrett's been champ and how bad Nash is in the ring.

Kid Kash/Raven/Lance Hoyt vs. Dustin Rhodes/America's Most Wanted: Solid match.

Kind of a boring show and it made me concerned that Hammond would win at the PPV.

Grade: C-

Grade: A

3/4/05 Impact

Opening segment: All this was was a segment to build a promo exchange in 30 minutes. Yes, a promo that built to a promo.

Chris Sabin vs. Michael (Shane): Good match, and yes, Michael Shane was actually named "Michael" in this match.

Naturals/Chris Candido vs. Petey Williams/Mikey Batts/Elix Skipper: Good match though Petey being on the face team despite being in a heel stable made no sense.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Eric Young: Bad match.

Dusty promo: This was good for making the main event at the PPV and gave Jarrett heat for an attack on DDP with The Outlaw.

AJ Styles vs. Kid Kash: Very good X Division title match with AJ retaining.

Solid show.

Grade: B

3/11/05 Impact

Christopher Daniels vs. Chris Sabin: Good match.

New Age Outlaw (Kip James) vs. Sonny Siaki: Squash.

David Young vs. Shark Boy: "Meh" match and Young ends his LONG losing streak against Shark Boy. He went back to jobbing after this win though.

Apolo vs. Lance Hoyt: Okay match... the Trytan stuff afterwards was stupid.

VERY boring show.

Naturals vs. David Young/Lex Lovett: Decent match.

Monty Brown/Jeff Jarrett vs. AJ Styles/Sean Waltman: Good main event.

Good show to finish off the FSN era.

Grade: A

10/1/05 Impact

AJ Styles vs. Roderick Strong: While the winner was obvious, the match was pretty good and a good way to introduce AJ to any new fans watching.

Monty Brown vs. Lex Lovett: This was a complete squash but a solid way of introducing Monty to new fans.

Chris Sabin vs. Alex Shelley vs. Petey Williams: A really solid TV match here. Showcased the abilities of all three guys and was the match of the night.

Jeff Hardy vs. Rhino: This... wasn't a good match though it did do a good job of building up the Hardy/Sabu/Abyss/Rhino stuff leading to a Monster's Ball at BFG that year.

Final segment: This was really good as it introduced a good chunk of the tag division in AMW, 3 Live Kru, Team Canada, and the debuting Team 3D, and Jarrett's challenger for BFG was announced in Kevin Nash.

This show wasn't anything outstanding but it did its job of introducing a large chunk of guys to the TNA audience, the Styles/Strong and X Division 3 way were good matches, and the final segment was really good.

Grade: B+

10/8/05 Impact

3 Live Kru vs. Team Canada: This match was a very solid formula tag match and showcased the abilities of the two teams.

Christopher Daniels vs. Matt Bentley vs. Austin Aries: Another really solid X Division three way. Introduced Daniels, Bentley, and Aries and showcased their abilities to the fans.

Abyss vs. Sonny Siaki: Just a squash that showcased Abyss' power moves.

Zbyszko's announcement: Tito Ortiz is announced as the guest referee for Angle/Nash at BFG. This was a good segment to build heat between Jarrett and Nash.

Team 3D vs. America's Most Wanted: Solid tag team main event here that was booked well (AMW turned heel and 3D just debuted so neither could afford a loss) and introduced the debuting Gail Kim as the valet of Jarrett and AMW.

This was a stronger show than last week as this one featured more storyline progression rather than just introductions and the wrestling was a bit better too.

Grade: A-

10/15/05 Impact

Monty Brown vs. Jerrelle Clark/Mikey Batts: Typical Monty Brown squash match. Nothing more.

Matt Bentley vs. David Young: Really solid match between these two. Bentley was very underrated in my opinion.

3D funeral segment: In this segment, the references like "Paul and Stephanie" were on a piece of paper, whereas in the skits in the Dusty Rhodes guest host episode of Raw they were spoken by DX. This worked because it was all subtle and the heels in attendance all did a GREAT job.

Rhino vs. Sabu: Very decent match here and the stuff after the match created more tension heading into the Monster's Ball.

Christopher Daniels X Division challenge: A convincing win over Shark Boy (jobber), a very solid and competitive match against Sonjay Dutt (X Division midcarder), and barely survived AJ Styles at the end. Good match that was VERY well booked.

Another really good Impact on Spike. Matches were good as was the entertainment and booking. Only low point was the opening squash.

Grade: A

10/22/05 Impact

Samoa Joe vs. Elix Skipper: While the winner was obvious this was a good way to introduce Joe to the fans and showcase his abilities. Decent match.

Naturals vs. America's Most Wanted: A really good match and despite there being a lot of interference, it all added to the match and was a great way to get AMW over as heels as they were faces for pretty much their entire TNA careers before the last few months of 2005. A clean finish wouldn't have worked that good in this case.

Ron Killings vs. Bobby Roode: A very solid midcard match.

AJ Styles/Jeff Hardy/Lance Hoyt vs. Abyss/Jeff Jarrett/Monty Brown: Very good main event that hyped up multiple BFG matches.

A very good go-home episode of Impact here. The matches were good as was the booking and every match was built up in some way.

Grade: A

10/29/05 Impact

Abyss vs. Lance Hoyt: Really good match between two big man wrestlers. It's a shame how both of these guys have declined the last few years... Hoyt can do a Van Terminator but if you've only seen his stuff from 2007-present you wouldn't know that.

Christopher Daniels vs. Jerelle Clark: Pretty solid X Division match.

Sonjay Dutt/AJ Styles vs. Alex Shelley/Roderick Strong: Really good X Division tag and best match of the night. Full of the usual spots that made the X Division so popular back in the day.

3 Live Kru vs. America's Most Wanted: Pretty solid tag match though not at the level of the previous match.

Final segment: A good segment to build the Team 3D/AMW feud.

This show was as good as the previous week and better in some aspects, such as the finishes.

Grade: A

11/3/05 Impact

Jeff Hardy/Lance Hoyt/Sabu vs. Diamonds In The Rough: Solid opener for TNA's first ever two hour Impact.

Monty Brown vs. Brian Gamble: Typical Impact squash match.

Christopher Daniels/Alex Shelley/Samoa Joe vs. Sonjay Dutt/AJ Styles/Austin Aries: Excellent X Division match filled with all of the wrestlers' usual spots at the time.

Team 3D vs. Team Canada: Very decent match.

Chris Sabin vs. Matt Bentley vs. Petey Williams Ultimate X match: Not as good as the Ultimate X matches on PPV but still really good nonetheless.

Rhino vs. Jeff Jarrett: While the end with Jarrett winning back the NWA title wasn't good, the match itself was good however.

Very good show for the first ever two hour TNA Impact. The show served its purpose of showcasing the talent on the roster, especially in the X Division, and both X Division matches delivered big time.

Grade: A-

11/12/05 Impact

Opening segment: Pretty good.

Samoa Joe vs. Austin Aries: Decent match.

Kip James vs. Lex Lovett: Squash.

AJ Styles vs. Petey Williams: While it was a finishers match it was pretty entertaining.

Jeff Jarrett/America's Most Wanted vs. Lance Hoyt/Chris Sabin/Jeff Hardy: Good match.

Solid show.

Grade: B+

11/19/05 Impact

Samoa Joe vs. Jerrelle Clark: Decent match.

America's Most Wanted vs. Apolo/Sonny Siaki: Decent match.

Rhino vs. Abyss: Decent match.

Final segment: Great Christian promo and Monty was put over really well in the segment too.

Good show.

Grade: A

11/26/05 Impact

Monty Brown vs. Helvis Elliot: Squash.

3 Live Kru segment: Very mediocre with Kip James joining to become 4 Live Kru. Meh.

Chris Sabin vs. AJ Styles: Good match.

Abyss vs. Jeff Hardy: Decent match.

Jeff Jarrett vs. Kip James: Decent main event.

Decent show.

Grade: B-

12/3/05 Impact

Petey Williams vs. Austin Aries vs. Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin: Good match.

Abyss vs. Kenny King: Squash.

Abyss/Sabu segment: Very good segment to build their feud.

Jarrett/Christian promo: Good promo exchange to build a match between them.

Raven vs. Diamonds In The Rough: Solid Clockwork Orange House of Fun main event.

Good show.

Grade: A-

12/8/05 Impact

Jeff Jarrett/America's Most Wanted vs. Naturals/Jeff Hardy: Decent opener.

Samoa Joe vs. Amazing Red: Decent match.

Basebrawl segment: Not very good.

Konnan/Kip James vs. Sinn/Helvis Elliot: Squash.

Bobby Roode vs. Christian Cage: Good match.

Final segment: Very good Abyss/Sabu segment.

Good show.

Grade: B

12/17/05 Impact

Samoa Joe vs. Jay Lethal: A pretty good opener that continued Joe's undefeated streak and Lethal got more offense on Joe than most did back then.

Alex Shelley vs. Matt Bentley: Another solid X Division match that also featured Shannon Moore on top of a balcony holding a sign that said "the X Division needs to get punk'd". That's more focus on him than he ever got in his second WWE run I think.

Rhino vs. Joe Doering: Typical Impact squash match and Rhino cut a promo on Jarrett after the match.

Team 3D vs. Diamonds In The Rough: Pretty decent formula tag match here despite the obvious outcome.

Final segment: Pretty good with Jarrett/AMW aligning themselves with Team Canada, Abyss, and Monty Brown and the continuation of the slow build to Sting's return.

Very strong episode of Impact as it set up a lot of storylines and the wrestling was pretty good.

Grade: A-

12/24/05 Impact

Opening segment: Pretty good Christmas-based skit involving Christian (imitating Jeff Jarrett), Bentley (as Santa Claus), and Traci.

Christopher Daniels vs. Eric Young: Very solid match.

Abyss vs. Chris Sabin: Another solid match that was better than the previous match even.

Ron Killings vs. Kenny King: Typical Impact squash match.

Christian Cage vs. Chris Harris: Very good Impact main event.

This show didn't have much in the way of storyline progression, but this show was on Christmas Eve so that's understandable. A lot of good wrestling on this show and an entertaining opening segment makes this a good show.

Grade: B+

12/31/05 Impact

Jeff Jarrett/Monty Brown vs. Kenny King/Shark Boy: This was obviously a squash match but it was actually pretty entertaining... better than most Impact squashes.

Rhino vs. A1: Another squash match though this was pretty much the same Rhino squash as all the others.

Samoa Joe vs. Roderick Strong: Decent match that only served to advance Joe's undefeated streak.

AJ Styles vs. James Storm: Very good main event here.

This was pretty storyline heavy in that the Jarrett/Jackie Gayda storyline advanced and Homicide debuted forming LAX with Konnan and Apolo (for those who don't know, it started out with those three, then Machete was the third guy shortly after due to Apolo leaving for a reason I don't remember, then Hernandez debuted in around April 2006 and LAX finally started to click) attacking Bullet Bob, but that doesn't mean it was a bad show. And the wrestling was pretty good in the final 30 minutes.

Grade: B
